Meet the Pro, Julien A. Sharp

Julien A. Sharp, M.S. is a member of AWAI's Board of Advisors for the resume writing program.  She has been involved with resumes in all their phases (writing, screening, and evaluating) since 1986. She was awarded a coveted internship in the human resources department for a major pharmaceutical company, where her job was to pre-screen hundreds of resumes a week.

She has been writing resumes as part of her consulting business Sharp Solutions ever since, as well as through her subsidiary company, Resumes for Change. She also has been on the "receiving" end of the resume process and interviewed countless candidates for companies in the U.S. and abroad as an HR consultant. So she knows exactly what interviewers are looking for.

Because she is a (self-proclaimed) computer and technology junkie, she has closely followed the "internet revolution" – particularly as it relates to job search, and the creation and submission of resumes.

She combines her knowledge of the hiring market, human resource experience, and a masters in psychology to provide support for people as they go through the process (and sometimes pain) of looking for a new job.  She makes it possible for them to make a powerful first impression with a professionally written resume, and shares her "Tricks of the Trade" with AWAI members!

As the Education Coordinator and MSP (Member Success Program) trainer for the Miami-Dade county region of Business Network International (BNI), Julien has also been very active in training people how to network and promote their businesses through word-of-mouth marketing.
